Yuma Christian Church recently held a Build A Bike Sunday.

Approximately 100 members of the congregation held a worship service in the Quintech gymnasium, then built 10 brand new Huffy bicycles that will go to underserved youth in Yuma and Washington counties. Church members delivered the bikes to the Department of Human Services, which will then handle delivery to the youth.

Bicycle for beginners through high school age were put together using tools such as allen wrenches, screw drivers, wrenches and air

The church conducts an “Orphan Sunday” every year, but this time did it for youth living in the immediate area.

A dessert auction was held, raising $1,600 to pay for the Huffy bicycles.

They definitely are going to make some are kids merry this Christmas season.
