Merna Irene Campbell, daughter of Henry Berton Campbell and Eva Eliza Pittman Campbell, was born September 9th, 1917 in Old Happyville, Colorado. She went home to be with our lord September 8th, in Grants Pas, Oregon, 1 day shy of her 101st birthday, but as far as most of us are concerned, she made it to 101.

On October 25th, 1936 at the age of 19 she married the love of her life, Willis Eldred Wall.

Merna and Eldred lived in Yuma, later moved to Gary and Brush Colorado where they farmed. They moved to California in 1955, liven in California until 1974, then moved to Rochester, Washington, where Merna worked in retail and with her son-in-law manufacturing award ribbons. Merna enjoyed farm life, gardening, family gatherings, and in later life enjoyed reading and making latch hook pictures for her great grandchildren.

Merna moved to Grants Pass, Oregon after the death of her husband to be near her living children. Merna had 5 children, preceded in death by her daughter, Lola Mae Laughlin, and her son, Lowell Wall. She is survived by her daughter, Garnett DeForest and husband Ray, of Grants Pass, Oregon, daughter Edna Quigley and husband Jock, of Medford, Oregon, and son Wayne Wall and wife Linda of Albany, Oregon. Merna has 18 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren.

Merna is survived by 2 sisters, Eunice Richardson of Greeley, Colorado, and Roberta Stucky of Grand Junction, Colorado.

Merna was laid to rest beside her husband Eldred, Saturday, September 22, 2018 in Enumclaw, Washington.
