Two have been selected to the All-LPAA team, and one received honorable mention. Sedgwick County had a total of five selections, Hokyoke four, Haxtun three, Akron two, Caliche two, and Wiggins and Merino one each.
Yuma reached regional this season and finished with a 14-8 record, finishing in a tie for third in the LPAA.
Paul Brophy — The sophomore had a strong all-around season for the Indians this past season. He had the best batting average among those in the regular lineup, hitting .346 in 20 games. He had three doubles and 14 RBI, tied for third-most on the team. The southpaw went 2-3 on the hill, despite posting just a 2.29 earned run average. He struck out 41 and walked 12 in 36-2/3 innings.
Gianni Trejo — The junior led the team in pitching wins wit
h a 5-4 record. He had a 2.53 ERA, striking out 53 and walking 22 in 47 innings on the mound. He hit .324 at the plate in 22 games, with a team-leading eight doubles, and his 15 RBIs were second most on the team. He also led the Indians in stolen bases with 13.
Yuma honorable mention
Addison Weathers — The junior also had a solid season for the Indians as their short stop. He hit .292 in 22 games with five doubles and 10 RBIs, along
with nine stolen bases, third most on the team. He played every inning of the season at short stop, finishing with an .886 fielding percentage.
