He won the last league meet in Brush with an 81, his lowest round of the year. Coach Benjamin Weathers said he was upset at regional about not qualifying for state, but already was looking forward to the league meet in Brush, telling the Brush coach he was going to win, which he did. His other low rounds were 83 at Northeastern 18, 84 at Coyote Creek, 85 at Greeley Country Club, and 86 at Indian Hills Golf Course. He finished with a team-best 88.29 scoring average for the season. Hixon is getting some interest from several junior college to continue playing at the next level on a scholarship.
Jakob Chrisman — The junior had another solid season for the Indians, finishing tied with Hixon in the league standings with 37 points. He has finished in the top two in the league for three straight years. He shot an 83 in Brush and the Strasburg
tournament in Fort Lupton, and an 84 in Yuma and Sterling. His scoring average of 88.39 put him a close second behind Hixon on the team. He qualified for state as a sophomore, and Weathers said to expect a big season out of Chrisman in 2018.
Preston Blach — The sophomore claimed one of the four honorable mention spots, finishing seventh in the league with 26 points. He needed a high finish in the final league meet to move into the top eight, and did so by placing third in Brush. His low round was an 89 at Greeley Country Club.
