The Otis Bulldogs have once again showed their superior skills and won their way into the State Volleyball Tournament at the Denver Coliseum this week, Friday and Saturday, November 10-11.

They will go into the tournament as the number five seed. Otis will play fourth-seed McClave at approximately 2 p.m Friday, then face ninth-seed Holly at 8 a.m. Saturday. The semifinals are Saturday afternoon, and the finals begin at 7 p.m.

The Bulldogs hosted the Region C Tournament last Friday, November 3.

The other teams in attendance were the Stratton/Liberty Knighted Eagles and the Elbert Bulldogs.

The first match for Otis was the Knighted Eagles. It was a great win for the Bulldogs who had no doubt about this victory. Otis won the first two sets quickly and easily 25-10 and 25-16. The third set was a better game as the Knighted Eagles played their best set. It was still not enough to overcome the Bulldogs who won 25-21.

Becca Bleak had eight kills Denise Christensen had one kill. Apryl Tolson had four kills and one block. Ruby Halcomb had two kills. MaKenna Metzler had 12 kills. Annalise Glosson had one ace and six assists. Sydney Reynolds had one ace and 19 assists. Chloe Bleak had four blocks.

After watching the Knighted Eagles beat the Elbert Bulldogs they were more assured they would have no problem achieving the Region C Champions. They had their minds set from the beginning of post season, and they made their dreams come true. They easily won the match against Elbert in three sets 25-16, 25-15 and 25-17.

Becca Bleak had six kills and one block. Riley Brandon had three aces. Denise Christensen had one kill and four aces. Chloe Bleak had two kills. Ruby Halcomb had seven kills. MaKenna Metzler had 14 kills and one block. Sydney Reynolds had one kill and 16 assists. Annalise Glosson had one ace. Rachel Patterson had two aces.
