The Arickaree track and field athletes had some point-scoring efforts last Thursday at the Wray Dick Evans Invitational.
Austin Wright won the discus with a distance of 138-foot-9. Zarron Skubal was seventh in the triple jump with a distance of 37-2.5. On the girls side, McKenna Jesse cleared 4-2 to place eighth in the high jump.
The Bison will be at the Akron Tom Meyer Invitational on Saturday.
LONE STAR
The Lone Star track and field athletes had a nice day at the Wray Dick Evans Invitational last Thursday.
The boys scored 36 points to finish eighth in the team standings. The girls were 11th in their division with 17.5 points.
Anderson Weathers was second in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 46.38 seconds, and was third in the 110 hurdles in 16.59 seconds. He also was third in the pole vault by clearing 12-2, while Grant Kuntz was sixth at 11-8. Wyatt Cochran placed third in the shot put with a distance of 41-3.5,a nd fourth in the discus at 119-1.
The 4-by-100 relay team of Kuntz, Brock Fisher, Jayden Sporing and Weathers was seventh in 49.28 seconds.
For the girls, Jade Kuntz was fifth in the pole vault at 8-2, and Paityn Forry seventh in the long jump with a distance of 13-11.
J. Kuntz was seventh in the 400-meter dash in 1:08.19, and Peytyn Kuntz seventh in the 100 hurdles in 19.28 seconds.
The 4-by-100 relay team of Forry, P. Kuntz, Katie Etle and Jade Kuntz was fifth in 56.65 seconds. The 800 sprint medley foursome of Forry, Makenzie Kucera, P. Kuntz and J. Kuntz placed fifth in 2:04.78.
The Longhorns will be at the Akron Tom Meyer Invitational on Saturday.

Sawyer Packer won the triple jump with a distance of 40-foot-2.5, and was second in the long jump at 19-5. Jayce Ballah cleared 11-2 to place seventh in the pole vault.
Carter Wells was fourth in the 200 dash in 24.7 seconds, and seventh in the 100 in 12.17 seconds.
The Bulldogs placed in three relays. Emiliano Varela, Packer, Cambric Klinzmann, and Mitchell Stivers were fifth in the 4-by-400 in 3:58.51. The 4-by-200 team of Varela, Stivers, Tayshaun Thomas and Klinzmann was sixth in 1:40.43. The 4-by-100 team of Varela, Bohden Klinzmann, Thomas and C. Klinzman placed sixth in 48.99 seconds.
For the girls team, Lydia Willeke was fifth in the 1600 in 6:42.13. Madelyn Willeke was eighth in 300 hurdles in 57.32 seconds. She also was fifth in the pole vault by clearing 8-2.
