Lone Star’s track and field athletes competed in the 57th Yuma Bill Kalb Invitational this past Monday.
Anderson Weathers cleared 12-foot-3 for second in the pole vault. He was fifth in the 110-meter hurdles in 16.5 seconds, and fifth in the 300 hurdles in 45.45 seconds.
Peytyn Kuntz cleared 8-3 for second in the pole vault, and Bryn Cook went 7-9 for sixth. Paityn Forry was eighth in the long jump at 14-8.5, and Kuntz was eighth in the 100 hurdles in 18.51 seconds.
ARICKAREE
Arickaree’s track and field athletes competed Saturday in the 61st Warren Mitchell Invitational in Limon, last Saturday.
The boys 4-by-100 relay team placed second in 48.27 seconds, and the 4-by-800 foursome placed fourth in 9:24.42.
Skubal was fourth in the triple jump at 37-foot-11, and Wright fifth at 37-3. Yarin Quinteros put the shot 34-1 for eighth.
McKenna Jesse cleared 4-6 for third in the high jump, and Clara Hermes placed eighth in the long jump at 12-11.25. The 4-by-200 relay team was eighth in 2:17.55.
The Bison were at the 57th Yuma Bill Kalb Invitational on Monday. Peytin Villarreal was eighth in the 400 in 1:09.34. Jesse was eighth in the high jump by clearing 4-6.
For the boys, Wright was sixth in the 800 in 2:17.52, and Jorge Ramos eighth in 2:18.03. Skubal was sixth in the long jump at 18-7, and fifth in the triple at 38-9.25. Wright took second in the discus with a distance of 130-0.
The 4-by-200 relay team of Austin Fields, Daniel Goff, Skubal and Wright placed eighth in 1:38.39.
OTIS
The Otis girls had a nice run at the 61st Warren Mitchell Invitational in Limon, last Saturday.
Madelyn Willeke was second in the pole vault at 8-6. Kensley Packer was second in the triple jump at 31-10, and fourth n the long jump at 14-1. Emily Williams whipped the discus 87-6 for fifth.
Willeke was third in the 100 hurdles with a time of 19.35 seconds. Aedyn Tribelhorn was sixth in the 100 in 14.13 seconds, and eighth in the 400 in 1:09.9.
The 4-by-100 relay team placed sixth in 58.55 seconds.
Jayce Ballah cleared 12-1 to win the pole vault, while Alex Bailey was fourth at 8-6, and Scott Smith fifth at 7-6. Jacob Perry was fourth in the discus at 109-0. Tayshaun Thomas was eighth in the long jump at 15-10.5.
Tayshaun Thomas placed second in the 300 hurdles in 47.77 seconds. The 4-by-100 relay team was seventh in 53.78 seconds.
The Bulldogs were at the 57th Yuma Bill Kalb Invitational on Monday.
