The Otis High School volleyball team has won nine straight, heading into the final three games of the regular season.
Otis picked up a key league win at Arickaree, last Friday, then knocked off Haxtun in a non-league match, Tuesday. The Bulldogs play at Flagler on Friday and host Bethune on Monday. They now are 14-5 overall, 4-0 in the YWKC League. They have moved up to No. 9 in the Class 1A Rating Percentage Index and are ranked No. 10 in the latest 1A Top 10.
It took four sets to win at Arickaree last Friday, 25-11, 14-25, 25-18, 25-10. Statistics were not available.
The Bulldogs took on Haxtun this past Tuesday, again winning in four, 25-21, 25-23, 25-18 and 25-19. Statistics were not available at press time.
ARICKAREE
The Arickaree volleyball team is 14-6 overall, but just 2-3 in the YWKC League, entering its final matches of the season.
The Bison are at Granada today, October 20, and close out the regular season Friday at Stratton. Both are non-league games.
Arickaree hosted Otis last Friday, losing in four sets, 11-25, 25-14, 18-25 and 10-25. Statistics were not available.
LONE STAR
The Lone Star volleyball team is down to its final matches of the 2022 regular season.
The Longhorns were 7-13 overall, 1-3 in the YWKC League heading into this past Monday’s home match against Hi-Plains. They play at Prairie on Friday before closing out the regular season late next week.
Results from Monday’s match with Hi-Plains were not available at press time.
Their previous matches were in the Stratton Bash on October 8, beating Kiowa and and losing to Flagler and Genoa-Hugo.
