5K to Yuma in October

A 5K live run/walk race will be held Saturday, October 17, in Yuma.
Participation is limited to the first 175 people and registration is available through online registration only. Registration will open Friday, September 4, at 7 a.m. on runsignup.com. (Search for 5K to Yuma.)
“We unfortunately had to cancel the 5:10 to Yuma in June this year,” states Race Director, Alice Swanson. “But we are so excited to be able to offer the 2020 edition! We are calling it the ‘5K to Yuma’.”
There will not be a 10K this year, but a new fast course for the 5K should make it fun for all participants. The race will start and finish in the first block of Main Street.
The 175 participants will all be required to wear masks at the start area and after they cross the finish line. Participants are also required to bring their own hydration. “To go Snack Bags” will be available at the finish area. Each participant will receive a t-shirt, and medals will be given to top male/female finishers in each category, plus overall fastest male and female. Medal winners will be listed on the Facebook page and mailed to the participants. The medal winners also will be listed in the Yuma Pioneer.
Packet pick up will be available at Lu Ella Women’s Boutique on Main Street from Wednesday, October 14 through Friday, October 17. Participants will also have the option to have their packet mailed.
There will not be race day packet pick up or registration due to COVID-19 Colorado regulations and guidelines.
Proceeds of this year’s race will benefit the Yuma Museum.
