Darlene Lois (Fisbeck) Vorce, 86, died at home on September 5, 2021, in Fort Collins.
Darlene was born at home on October 14, 1934, in Paoli and was one of eight children born to Elnora and Emil Fisbeck. She spent her childhood in Paoli and graduated high school in Haxtun in 1952. In 1955, she met and married Gene Vorce (Yuma). Gene and Darlene celebrated 66 years of marriage just a week prior to her passing. In 1961 they moved to Fort Collins where they raised their two daughters.
Darlene was a bookkeeper for Gene’s business, University TV, for many years and a devoted full-time mom and homemaker.
She was active in her church, volunteered at a local nursing home, loved music, was an avid quilter, enjoyed bowling, and dearly loved her family and hosting large family gatherings. She is survived by her husband Gene, daughters Cindy and Cathy of Fort Collins, two grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by three siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and many cherished friends.
Due to the COVID pandemic, plans for any type of large gathering to formally celebrate Darlene’s life will be delayed. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in her honor to either the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or Pathways of Northern Colorado (Hospice).
