Eva Arleen (Townley) Beaman 1929-2021

Eva Arleen (Townley) Beaman was born November 29, 1929 to Jesse H. and Myrtle O. (Hobbs) Townley in Calhan, CO. She grew up and attended school in Calhan. On April 6, 1947 she married Rex G. Beaman. While living in Colorado their children Laynetta, Glenda, and Wayne were born.
They moved to Missouri in 1953, where their son Lowell was born and they adopted an infant daughter, Patricia. The family moved back to Colorado in 1973.
Eva was an active, lifelong member of the Rebekah Lodge, and in 1995 served as the President of the Colorado Rebekah Assembly. In 2011 she was recognized as the International Rebekah of the Year, an award which she cherished greatly.
When she was about 40 years old, she attended and completed nursing school.  She worked as an L.P.N. in Missouri and Colorado, including several years at the Yuma Life Care Center.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Rex G. Beaman, parents Jesse H. and Myrtle O. Townley, infant daughters Wanda and Reva, and great-grandson Jude Smith.

Ten grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren plus two due later this year, and two additional step-great-great-grandchildren and four step-great-great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs. Services were conducted by the Independent Order of Odd Fellow and Rebekah’s LAPM and Chevaliers.
