Kenny Criswell was born on October 30, 1944 to Robert Earl and Mildred Louise (Grauel) Criswell in Yuma, Colorado. He was the middle child and had an older brother, Max and younger brother,
Manard.
Kenny was raised southeast of Yuma with his brothers and attended school at Wild Car and Heartstrong.
Kenny worked with his dad on the farm and ranch and did custom baling and trash truck in Loveland, Colorado. He later worked for Burlington Northern for thirty some years.
Kenny married Velma Mae Zuege on February 24, 1973. They were married for fifty years before his death on June 16, 2023. This union was blessed with three children, Michael Paul in 1977, Crystal Gayle in 1979 and Paula Sue in 1982.
Kenny had several hobbies including fishing, hunting, playing horseshoe and bowling. He enjoyed watching his son drive at the demolition derbies.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mildred and Criswell; grandparents, Paul and Mary Grauel and Cloyed and Florence (Ward) Criswell and his great granddaughter, Ellie Marie Criswell.
Kenny’s survivors include, his wife, Velma; children, Michael; Crystal (Eric) Falconburg and Paula (Joe) Covert; grandchildren, Jonathan and Brenona; many brother and sister-in-laws; lots of nieces and nephews along with many friends horseshoe pitchers and bowlers.
Memorial service – Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at the Baucke Funeral Chapel in Yuma, Colorado with Steve Mathewson officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Yuma Cemetery.
