Yuma High School’s track and field teams finally swung back into action Tuesday by competing in the Highland Twilight Invitational.
It was the Outlaws first meet in nearly two weeks due to weather cancellations.
The boys finished second to Wiggins with 99 points, while the girls were eighth in their division with 37.
Caddis Robinson was fifth for the Yuma girls in the 100 in 13.71 seconds. Braylynn Armstrong was eighth in the 300 hurdles in 53.09 seconds.
The 4-by-100 relay of Chloe Smith, Carolina Ross, Layla Glanz and Jade Lungwitz was eighth in 54.19 seconds. The 4-by-200 team of Glanz, Ross, Emory McClaran and Jade Lungwitz was fifth in 1:55.80. The 4-by-400 team of Addison Armstrong, Glanz, McClaran and Lungwitz was eighth in 4:39.59. The 4-by-800 team of Myka McDonald, Achtonn Monk, Kenya Arvizo and Mariana Reyes was sixth in 12:59.02. The sprint medley team of Smith, Ross, McClaran and Glanz was fifth in 2:04.6.
Smith cleared 8-6 for second in the pole vault, and B. Armstrong was sixth at 7-6. Robinson was fifth in the long jump at 15-3.75, and Ross seventh at 15-1. Lungwitz was seventh in the triple jump at 30-2.
Jiovani Perez placed eighth in the 100 in 11.94 seconds, and fourth in the 200 in 23.81 seconds. Hugo Olivas was seventh in the 1600 in 5:27.21. Josiah Perez was sventh in the 3200 in 13:51.42.
Bridger Lynch won the 110 hurdles in 16.72 seconds, and Edwin Munoz was sixth in 18.34. Adrian Carranza was seventh in the 300 hurdles in 47.94 seconds.
The 4-by-100 team of Iann Duran, Noe Quezada, Jonathan Thomson and Alan Flores placed third in 46.26 seconds. The 4-by-200 team of Duran, Lynch, Thomson and Quezada was second in 1:36.19. The 4-by-400 team of Perez, Lynch, Quezada and Flores was second in 3:39.2. The 4-by-800 foursome of Liam McClaran, Olivas, Adan Cortes and Flores was fourth in 9:22.77.
Munoz cleared 5-9 for fourth in the high jump. Lynch was second in the pole vault at 12-6, and Perez third at 12-0. Cristian Duarte won the long jump at 23-0, Thomson sixth at 19-5.25, and Quezada seventh at 19-5. Duarte also won the triple jump at 43-4, and Thomson eighth at 37-10. Miles Rutledge whipped the discus 111-3 for seventh place.
