A community celebration is coming back this year prior to the Yuma Volunteer Fire Department’s fireworks show.
The first annual Third of July Fest will be at the City of Yuma’s Jeff Armstrong Ball Park complex Wednesday from 4 p.m. to dark, when the fireworks begin.
It is being presented by YHS FBLA, YHS Mock Trial and Yuma Baseball.
The celebration will include carnival games, crafts, face painting, slime, a dunk tank, bouncy houses, kickball, live music, drinks, food and a dance performance.
The kickball will include brackets for 10 and under, 16 and under, and adults. The entry fee is $50 per team, and teams consist of nine to 12 players. Contact Noel Klein at (970) 630-0440 to register.
Tickets for carnival games and such is $1 each, or $25 for a wrist band.
The hamburger or hotdog meal will be $7, and will be served at the concession stand between 5 and 7 p.m.
