Outlaw runners keep hitting the trail

Yuma High School cross country runners are at the Platte Valley Invitational in Kersey on Friday.

They have two more meets in the regular season.

They were at the Loveland Sweetheart Invitational last Friday.

Yuma’s boys team had a total of 13 compete, including nine in the varsity race. Alan Flores was 47th in the big meet with a time of 20 minutes, 13 seconds, while Hugo Olivas was 67th in 21:26, Liam McClaran 76th in 22:01, Josiah Perez 84th in 22:38, and Angel Ibarry 90th in 23:58. Adan Cortes was 91st in 24:00, Maddox King 93rd in 24:39, Anderson Weathers 101st in 26:09, and Anderson Habana 102nd in 26:35. In the open race, Esteban Gonzalez ran the course in 25:05, Kelan Mandel in 27:56, Jesus Garcia in 31:26, and Jose Olivares in 31:46.

Two girls ran in Loveland. Achtonn Neill-Davison placed 67th in 28:50, and Myka McDonald 71st in 30:44.
