Debra Ann Jesse 1955-2024

Debra Ann Jesse passed away at the Yuma District Hospital on Sunday, November 17, 2024. She lived in Yuma, Colorado with her husband Carl Jesse of 40 years.

She was born July 12, 1955, to Carol May Smith and Alexander David Smith in Missoula, Montana. She was the fourth of seven kids, four boys and three girls. Right out of high school Debra joined the Air Force in 1973, where she traveled around the world and spent some time in Germany until she was honorably discharged in 1975 when she had her first of two daughters Caroline and Michelle from her first marriage.

She married her forever love Carl Jesse on August 23, 1984, in Livingston, Montana. They moved to Colorado Springs in the beginning of 1987 where they had their two sons Scott and Clinton Jesse. They moved to Yuma, Colorado in 1989 and a year later had their last child their daughter Sherry McDonald.

Debra was very family oriented and a huge animal lover. She became mom to many who were not blood, but they were her children, and she never turned anyone away, she had so much to give. Debra was known for her love of Miniature Dachshunds which she bred and raised.

Debra is survived by her husband Carl Jesse of Yuma, Colorado, daughters Michelle and Caroline Baker and their families. Son Scott and wife Shakari Jesse their daughters Dalyla and Lylyth, son Clinton Jesse and partner Jennifer Dixon their children Damien, Isabella and James of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Daughter Sherry and husband Kalen McDonald their children, Staci and husband Tarren McDonald, Myka and Tehya of Yuma, Colorado. Siblings Dan Smith of Montana, Sandi Smith of Montana, Cathy Smith of Montana and her children Shawn Smith and his family of Montana, Shane Smith and his kids Sadie and Clayton of Montana, Russel and Brandi Smith their children Kavan, Koy, and Alyssa of Yuma, Colorado, Gene and wife Ren Smith and their children Tyler, Dillan, and Katie of Oregon.

Memorial Service will be held Friday December 6, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church, Officiated by Bob Cook of The House of Praise Church in Yuma, Colorado.
