Lone Star’s track and field student/athletes competed at the Wray Dick Evans Invitational, last Thursday.
Peytyn Kuntz placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.18 seconds. Paityn Forry was eighth in the 300 hurdles in 54.31 seconds, and eighth in the long jump with a distance of 13-foot-10. Kuntz cleared 7-10 to place fourth in the pole vault, and Bryn Cook was seventh also at 7-10.
Anderson Weathers ran the 300 hurdles in 42.41 seconds for second place.
OTIS
Otis High School’s track and field student/athletes competed last Thursday in the Wray Dick Evans Invitational.
Jayce Ballah cleared 12-foot-4 to place second in the pole vault. He was fifth in the triple jump at 36-0. Jacob Perry whipped the discus 112-7 for sixth. Tayshaun Thomas was fourth in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 45.77 seconds, and Gracen Bechtle was eighth in the 800 in 2:24.92.
The 4-by-100 relay team of Emiliano Varela, Cambric Klinzmann, Thomas and Austin Hornung placed seventh in 47.86 seconds. The 4-by-400 team of Mitchell Stivers, Bechtle, Travis Wood and Ballah was eighth in 4:03.74. The 4-by-100 throwers relay team was sixth in 59.48 seconds.
Madelyn Willeke was third in the pole vault at 8-4. Kensley Packer placed fifth in the triple jup at 31-7. Aedyn Tribelhorn was eighth in the 100 in 13.76 seconds and eighth in the 200 in 28.84.
The 4-by-100 relay foursome of Willeke, Tribelhorn, Emma Ison and Packer placed seventh in 55.52 seconds.
ARICKAREE
Arickaree competed in the Terry Amundson Invitational last Saturday at Byers High School.
McKenna Jesse went 4-7 to place fifth in the high jump. Gracie Monat was sixth in the discus with a distance of 89-foot-4. The 800 sprint medley team placed fourth in 2 minutes 12.73 seconds.
Austin Wright whipped the discus 128-11 to place second. Zarron Skubal was fifth in the long jump at 18-7, and seventh in the triple jump at 35-10.
Jorge Ramos was sixth in the 800 in 2:23.89. Keith Page was fifth in the 300 hurdles in 46.93 seconds, and seventh in the 110 hurdles in 18.85 seconds.
The 4-by-100 relay team was fifth in 47.69 seconds, and the 4-by-400 team was sixth in 3:50.38.
