Area tracksters competed in Warren Mitchell

Lone Star, Otis, Stratton/Liberty and Arickaree/Woodlin were among the 27 schools to compete in the 57th Warren Mitchell Invitational, last Saturday in Limon.
The Lone Star girls had a great day, scoring 40 points to finish fifth in the team standings. Lamar won the girls team title with 75 points.
Alivia Weathers won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.11 seconds, and won the 300 hurdles in 51.51 seconds. She added another 10 points by clearing 9-foot-1 to win the pole vault, while Andrea Kuntz cleared 8-7 for second place.
Lone Star’s boys scored three points, courtesy of Abraham Martinez placing sixth in the pole vault by clearing 9-7.

Otis
Otis was able to score three points in boys events. Maddox Hisam accounted for those points, clearing 5-foot-4 to place sixth in the high jump.

Stratton/Liberty
Stratton/Liberty scored seven points in the girls events. The Knighted Eagles placed sixth in the 4-by-200 relay with a time of 2:06.09, and the 800 sprint medley team was sixth with a time of 2:07.6. Kennedy Frank picked up another point by placing eighth in the triple jump with a distance of 30-8.

Arickaree/Woodlin
The Arickaree/Woodlin boys scored 11 points to finish 17th in the team standings. Jacob Jefferson was third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.4 seconds, and Hayden Page seventh in 55.8. Jefferson was sixth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 18.97 seconds.
