Brendy Joe Allen of Yuma, Colorado sadly departed April 3, 2025 at home. He was born March 22, 1971 in Wray, Colorado to Billy Joe and Rhonda (Nau) Allen.
Brendy married Amy (Kinnison) April 19, 2003 in Joes, Colorado. To this union three beautiful children were born: Tyler Joe, Erin Brelle, and Kerri Brenne.
Brendy grew up learning the ins and outs on the family farm where from a young age he was actively involved in learning how to operate and manage everything involved. This knowledge served him well as there wasn’t anything he didn’t seem to know how to do or give his opinion on. Right out of high school he went to work for a local farmer. Here he spent countless hours in the corn and sugar beet fields. From here he began driving truck over the road. In each of these “adventures” he was always proud to have his brother right alongside. There wasn’t anything Brendy did without first running it by Brett. After the birth of “the boy”, Brendy decided to spend more time at home. This is when he began working full-time with his dad in Allen Enterprise. Throughout all the different occupations, there were always cows to be taken care of on the side.
Throughout his life, Brendy had a few passions. He grew up participating in wrestling, and he was thrilled when Tyler was finally old enough to begin. This led to a coaching career where many youngsters always made him proud. He also enjoyed hunting. Whether on the plains or in the mountains, lifelong memories and many good times were had. Family trips to Vegas always ranked high on his list of favorites. He never shied away from a craps or card table. As the girls began to grow there were several Saturday night dance parties in the living room. Christmas time brought family and friends to the house where many more hands of cards were battled over. It never failed that Brendy would pick a strategy that only brought luck to him. Family time always involved working with the cows. It made him proud to look across the pasture or corral and see each of his children contributing to the work. He passed his knowledge and work ethic on to the kids.
Brendy is survived by his wife, Amy, son, Tyler “the boy”, and daughters Erin, “sister” and Kerri “little sister”. His brother Brett (Carrie) and sister Breann (Joe) Alainey and Kaden. His uncle Jerrel Nau. Along with a very connected extended family and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother Rhonda (Nau) and father Billy Joe. His grandparents Walter and Gladyce Nau and Vernie and Carrie Allen. Also an uncle, Dalen Nau.
A graveside service was held April 8, 2025 at the Yuma Cemetery.
