Chyrl Ann (Clapper) Statler of Vona, CO and former Greeley, CO resident, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023.
Chyrl was born on June 5, 1949 and was the second of 9 children blessed to Paul and Lucille “Billie” Clapper. After graduating high school in 1967, Chyrl married Dick McAuley from Seibert, CO and of this union, two beloved sons were born (Lance in 1969 and Eric in 1970). Soon after, Dick and Chyrl divorced and in 1980 she married Ron Statler and was blessed with her stepchildren (Brad & Tonya Statler and Todd & Rose Statler) in which her family grew with grandchildren (Brittany, Bryce, Justin and Nicole).
Chyrl was a born again Christian, washed by the blood of Jesus Christ. She accomplished many things to include becoming a master seamstress with many award winning quilts and even opened her own business called “Sew What Now.” She was also the proud director of the Crisis Pregnancy Center in Greeley, CO, a Bible teacher for the Joy Belles for the Church of God in Greeley, CO and there was never a time that she did not have a loyal animal to adore.
Chyrl will be deeply missed by many people in her lives but especially by her sisters (Jody & Penny), her brothers (Terry, Chuck, Jerry & Tim), their partners and many nieces and nephews.
Chyrl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ron, her son Lance, her sister Paula and her brother Chris.
Funeral Service was held at 10 AM, February 18, 2023 at Stratton Church of God. Following the service, she was laid to rest next to her son Lance at the Seibert Cemetery.
