I want to thank all the people who attended my retirement reception or wished me well in retirement at some time. I will miss each and every one of you. The cards, flowers and gifts were greatly appreciated as were the words of wisdom left in the guest book. A special thank to Lana and Nancy for planning the send off. When Walt and I first came to Yuma in 1993 so I could work at the post office, the plan was to be here for only a few months and then move elsewhere. Things didn’t work as planned and although disappointed at first, I could not have been in a better place than Yuma when Walt passed away in 2004. I was blessed by the comfort and support of the community. As I retire after 26 years, I wish to thank the wonderful people of Yuma and am appreciative of the opportunity to have served you. I would like to thank everyone for making my 100th Birthday so special. The cards, calls, flowers and visits meant the world to me. Thank you to my family for hosting the wonderful 100th celebration at the Orphanage. I enjoyed every minute of it! A special thanks to Rich, Ron and Brenda for the amazing hospitality!
