Eldon Lee Moser was born on March 21, 1944 to Cleo and Mildred (Newland) Moser in Yuma, Colorado. He passed away on November 2, 2023 at Shalom Park in Aurora, Colorado at the age of 79.
Eldon graduated from High School and attended some college followed by some John Deere Schooling.
Eldon married Frances (Potter) Moser on April 23, 1966. To this union three children were born: LaRhonda, Michael and Gary. Eldon and Frances were married for thirty-five years before Frances passed away on December 21, 2001.
Eldon joined the Army National Guard on November 4, 1966 his service continued until 1972. He was in the Second Training Brigade First Battalion Company D.
Eldon worked for John Deere in his younger days and worked in the family dairy and helped swath hay at Smith Dairy.
Eldon loved fishing and farming. Eldon loved playing bingo and doing puzzles. He loved crafts and painting. All of his nurses and neighbors loved him. He was the life of the party where he lived.
Eldon’s first love was his family followed by fishing especially fishing with his grandsons. He loved going to coffee with family and friends and enjoyed meeting new friends. His favorite coffee spots were at the Beacon when he lived in Yuma or Davis Brothers while he lived in Akron.
Eldon was preceded in death by his wife, Frances and parents, Cleo and Mildred Moser.
He is survived by his daughter, LaRhonda and husband, David Green of Fort Collins, Colorado; granddaughter, Courtney Claflin. Son, Michael Moser and Kimberly Mathies; grandson, Tavin Moser of Sterling, Colorado; Kurtis Moser – US Navy and granddaughter, Katelyn Moser of West Virginia; son, Gary Moser of Denver, Colorado; brother James Moser and sister, June Brannon along with other relatives and friends.
Viewing took place at the Baucke Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
A Graveside Service took place on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Yuma Cemetery with Mike Mueller officiating.
