It is getting near the end of the regular season for the Yuma High School boys golf team.
The Indians are supposed to be at Fort Morgan today, September 10, if the weather cooperates, and then just have the league tournament in Wray on September 17. Regional is coming up later this month at Boomerang Golf Club in Greeley.
Yuma’s last action was last Wednesday, September 2, at the Sterling Invitational.
The varsity foursome finished seventh in the 12-school field with a 273 team score. Clay Robinson shot a new career low of 86 to lead the Indians’ cause. Brekyn Josh shot a 93, Nash Richardson a 94 and Ethan Goeglein 105.
A JV group went as well, with John Smith leading the way with a 103. Lars Sims shot a 107, Jake Hagemeier 113, Kyle Schuetz 118, Andre Baucke 122, Fynn Sims 125 and Jayden Serl 129.
