The attractive makeover of the Yuma School District-1 track complex at Yuma High School has been completed.
The crew from Renner Sports Group finished up earlier this month, while battling weather delays.
The result is a brand new track surface, along with new runways for the jump, vault and high jump areas
Instead of being the usual black, the track is painted gray, with the exchange zones painted red. The jump runways also are painted red. The shot put and discus circles are gray.
Not only is it very attractive, it also a top-notch surface.
The former surface badly needed replacing. The project was delayed as Renner had a backlog of track projects and could not get it fit in last year. The crew finally was able to arrive this fall and got it done.
The project was above $250,000, but is a 30-year investment.
