Jennifer R. Baetz, 47 of Yuma, Colorado was reunited with her Dad, Dewey Chandler Sr. on April 1, 2020. Jennifer past away due to complications of cancer at the Pathways Hospice in Loveland, Colorado.
If you knew Jennifer, then you were considered a friend. She was extremely passionate and loved helping others. She was definitely someone you would want on your side when it came to fighting for what is right and good in this world. She was a natural born care giver and advocate for anyone who needed her. Even before Jennifer graduated from high school in 1990, she began her lifelong love of working in the medical field. She trained to become an EMT, a certified nursing assistant, a medical assistant, a phlebotomist and a QMAP. She took the knowledge she learned and became a medical assistant program instructor, as well as a laboratory manager at a major hospital. Her by far most favorite job however was working with new physician residents in Greeley, Colorado. She loved being a part of helping others succeed. Heck, she was even in flags in high school as well as a swim instructor! Everything she did was to help others be lifted up.
When it came to her personal life, Jennifer’s heart belonged to Brian Baetz. They met on a dare from a friend when she messaged him on a dating site. She never was afraid to take a dare. That’s a good thing because they changed each other’s lives for the better. After a year and three months of dating, on December 30, 2010, Jennifer Chandler became Mrs. Jennifer Baetz. Brain had two boys who Jennifer instantly loved. Brian, Branden and Cody fulfilled the desire for a family that Jenny always dreamed of having.
In addition to the humans in Jennifer’s life, there were her fur babies. It may be rare to read about fur babies in an obituary, but I promise you, they were as much of her heart as any human. Norman, yes, Norman Baetz (pronounced Bates), and Schroeder were her two cats. They brought her joy and comfort daily. She was an amazing kitty momma. She was also Nanna to Branden’s dog Evee.
Jennifer was passionate about the medical world and she was passionate about animals. Her overall biggest passion however was justice and simply stated, doing what was right. This drive led to her major contributions to the Father’s Rights movement. She spent many hours educating herself on the legal rights for alienated parents. She did whatever others needed her to do. Research, provide resources, place phone calls or just plain listen to people who were hurting. She gave 100% in every arena of her life.
Awaiting Jennifer’s arrival in heaven were her Daddy, Dewey Chandler Sr, her nephew Jonathan and her friend Jean. Jean was her 2nd mom and had recently joined heaven’s angels herself. Oh how I wish I could have seen that reunion. Jennifer talked so much about missing her dad. I’m confident it was phenomenal.
Still here on earth, missing our beautiful Jen, is her husband and love of her life, Brian Baetz, her and Brian’s two sons Branden and Cody Baetz. Her big brother’s David Chandler and wife Floriza, Dewey Chandler and wife Wendy, six nieces and nephews as well as a few great nieces and nephews. Then of course there are her many many friends and adopted family. You see, when you are the kind of person Jennifer was, there are way too many names to list when you want to talk about “loved ones”. However, you all know who you are.
God Speed Sissy. We love you and we will see you soon.
