Yuma High School’s girls JV basketball team got in only one game last weekend.
After Friday’s game with Peyton was canceled, the Indians barely squeaked by Wiggins, 29-27, last Saturday afternoon on the Tigers’ homecourt.
Caddis Robinson had five points and five rebounds, Hailey Eyring five points, Liddy Day four points and two assists, Kinley Eyring four points and two rebounds, Josselyn Munoz three points, four rebounds and three steals, Kelly Gardner three points, Emma Rayl two points and two steals, Jailyn Mekelburg two points and four rebounds, and Ashley Ibanez one point and one steal.
C-team wins tourney
The Yuma High School girls basketball C-team won a tournament at Highland High School, Monday.
The Indians beat Highland, 45-30. Ashley Ibanez had 17 points, Jazmine Sotel11, Jailyn Mekelburg five, Jordyn Glanz four, Cheyanne McCreath three, Erin Allen two, April Pobleto two and Hailey Eyring one.
Yuma beat Weld Central 42-31. Eyring had 10 points, Sotelo seven, Allen seven, Glanz six, Mekelburg five, Ibanez three, and Pobleto two.
The C-team also won a game Wednesday in Yuma, but details are not available yet.
