Larry L. Korf was born on January 13, 1939 to George and Bessie (Zwirn) Korf of Yuma, Colorado. He passed away on November 14, 2020 in Sterling, Colorado at the age of 81.
Larry was born and raised in Yuma, Colorado. He farmed for many years with his father, George. Along with farming Larry had several other side jobs, roofing, sprinklers for irrigation and a tree cutting business.
In 1957 Larry married Sharry Darlene (Fisher) Korf to that marriage four children were born, Troy, Shelia, Brenda and Jimmie Korf. Sharry passed away in 1984. Later Larry had a set of twin daughters, Eva and Ellen Dennis. Larry went on to meet and marry Angela (Keller) Korf to this marriage four children were born, Cory, Brandon, Sierra and Blake.
Larry enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing, hunting, fishing followed by more fishing.
Larry was preceded in death by his first wife, Sharry Darlene Korf; daughter, Ellen Dennis parents, George and Bessie Korf; step-mother, Alice Korf; brother-in-law, Keith Lillich and nephew, Kenny Lillich.
Larry is survived by his sister, Luella (Korf) Lillich of Yuma, Colorado; step-brother, Sam Dembitsky of Brush, Colorado; son, Troy Korf and wife, Terri of Fort Morgan, Colorado; daughter, Shelia and husband, Shaun Abernathy of Merion, Colorado, daughter, Brenda and husband, Chris of Sterling, Colorado; son, Jimmie Korf of Fort Morgan, Colorado; daughter, Eva Dennis Stahl of Greeley, Colorado; son, Cory and wife, Silvia of Yuma, Colorado; son Brandon Korf and wife, Morgan of Douglas, Wyoming; daughter, Sierra Hanson of Yuma, Colorado; son Blake Korf and wife, Kaley of Lamar, Colorado; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren along with other relatives and friends.
Graveside Service – Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Dennis FitzPatrick of St. John’s Lutheran Church officiating. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
