The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) is seeking public comments for consideration and use in the development of the Bonny Resource Management Plan (RMP). Reclamation, in cooperation with the Colorado Parks & Wildlife (CPW), is updating the existing RMP for Reclamation Lands around Bonny Dam.

The purpose of the RMP is to develop a plan that balances natural resource protection with outdoor recreational uses. The RMP process will develop and implement a management strategy that defines long-term management goals and objectives designed to address user needs while ensuring the protection of the natural, cultural, recreational, and fish and wildlife resources at Bonny Dam.

Public comments and suggestions will be accepted until March 23, 2018. Written comments can be sent directly to the attention of Mr. Nik Johanson by email (, or by regular mail to Bureau of Reclamation, 1706 W. 3rd Street, McCook, NE 69001. Please indicate if you wish to receive future correspondence concerning the development of the Bonny RMP and activities associated with this process.

Following the comment period, the draft Bonny RMP will be prepared and available for public review.
