Rena Glee was born June 19, 1951 to Robert and Maralyn Saxton, and passed away July 15, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE.

Rena, along with her six siblings, grew up on the family farm, north of the Yuma County line. She attended Yuma schools until her teenage years and later attended schools in the Greeley area.

In 1970 she married Gerald Adams and this union would be blessed with two sons, Craig Stephan and Joseph Michael. Later Rena married Leonard Wood and moved to Maywood, NE, creating her very own farm family of five!

Rena’s love for travel would allow her to meet and make many new friends and gave her the ability to try new and exciting adventures. After spending six years in Amsterdam, two years in Spain, and back to Amsterdam for three more years, she would settle in Greeley near her children and their families. In 2017 she would make Gothenburg, NE her final home.

She affectionately called herself “Granny” but was more like a sister to her grandkids. Cooking, crafting and afternoon errands are just a few ways she loved spending time with her girls.

Rena was preceded in death by infant son Craig Stephan, brothers Robert, parents Robert and Maralyn Saxton, grandparents Nola Denney, Chester and Gladys Saxton.
