This semi tractor was obliterated in a two-semi wreck Monday morning on Highway 34 at the Yuma County Road R intersection, but luckily no injuries were reported. The wreck occurred at approximately 8:15 a.m. Justin Wachsmann, 42, of St. Francis, Kansas, was westbound in a White Volvo semi tractor. Jamal Ali, 25, of Galloway, Ohio, also was westbound in a White Freightliner semi tractor. The Volvo was directly behind the Freightliner, which slowed to make a left turn southbound onto Country Road R. The Volvo (seen in this photo) did not slow in time, but swerved southwest to try to avoid a collision. The front passenger side of the Volvo collided with the rear driver side of the enclosed trailer being pulled by the Freightliner. The Volvo continued southwest through a fence, coming to a rest on its wheels south of Highway 34 and west of Road R. The Freightliner was driven to a rest on the north shoulder of Highway 34.
