Sue Carol (Eddy) Mccaffrey was born on March 18, 1939 to Ronald Keith and Guyneatha Kathleen
(Edgmand) Eddy in Posso, Washington. She passed away at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado on May 31, 2021 at the age 82. Sue married Calvin Harold Mccaffrey on July 29, 1967 in Otis, Colorado. Sue and Calvin shared almost thirty years of marriage together before Calvin passed away on August 18, 1996.
Sue attended High School and graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Following High School she took many classes from Morgan Community College in Fort Morgan, Colorado and Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado. Sue was the Town Clerk in Otis, Colorado for a number of years along with the fulltime job of homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother.
Sue loved to study genealogy, along with reading, puzzles and cross stitching. She had many figurine and picture collections of buffalos, cows, angels, eagles and lighthouses.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Mccaffrey and her parents Ronald and Guyneatha Eddy.
Sue will be greatly missed by her son, Eddy and Shelly McCaffrey of Council Bluffs, Iowa; son, Kenneth Mccaffrey of Yuma, Colorado; son, Ke/an Mccaffrey of Otis, Colorado; Thadeus Mccaffrey of Yuma, Colorado; daughter, Melissa Mccaffrey of Sterling, Colorado; grandson, Colton Mccaffrey of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandson, Riley Hofmeister of Greeley, Colorado; grandson, Reese and Megan Hofmeister of Wiggins, Colorado; brother, Keith Eddy of Broomfield, Colorado; brother, Stephen and Susan Eddy of Castle, Rock, Colorado along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
There was a private family graveside service at the Otis Cemetery in Otis, Colorado on June 5, 2021 with Morris Hartman officiating. Memorial donations may be given in Sue’s name to the American Heart Association. Baucke Funeral Home directed the service.
