Members of the Yuma School District-1 community will get an opportunity to meet the four superintendent finalists Monday evening.
Superintendent Dianna Chrisman is retiring after 10 years leading the district. The Yuma-1 Board of Education has selected four finalists as her replacement — Kyle Bules and Jim Fraley. (There were two other finalists, but one took another job and the other withdrew his name.)
There will be a facilitated public forum in the Yuma High School Auditorium from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday. The candidates then will go to assigned rooms for meet-and-greets with the public from 7 to 8 p.m.
Participants are asked to return their feedback cards before leaving so the Y-1 Board will have that input prior to making a final decision.
Also, if you cannot attend Monday, but would like to still ask the candidates a question, there is a link found at the Yuma-1 Facebook page, as well as the Yuma Pioneer Facebook page, in which one can submit questions up until 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 20. (Sorry if reading this too late.)
The Yuma-1 Board also will be interviewing each of the candidates Tuesday. It will make a decision on whom to first offer the job at the conclusion of that special meeting.
