Friends & Family,

We gather here today to honor and celebrate the remarkable life of Thelma Packer. Thelma was a woman who touched the lives of so many with her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. As we stand together, let us remember her legacy and the many beautiful moments we shared with her.

Thelma was blessed with a large and loving family. She was a devoted wife to Everett Packer, with whom she shared an incredible 68 years of marriage. Their love story is one of true partnerships, filled with laughter, support, and unwavering commitment. Together, they built a life full of warmth and cherished memories.

Thelma was the proud mother of four daughters: Lynne, married to Richard Taylor; Jodie, married to Kirt Sharp; Janet Packer; and Tracey, married to Sonny Scheradella. She was also a devoted grandmother to nine grandchildren and a great-grandmother to eighteen great-grandchildren. Not to mention the numerous other individuals that referred to her as mom. Each member of her family held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them.

Her love for family extended beyond her own children and grandchildren. Thelma had numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends who were all touched by her kindness and generosity. She was a beloved member of her community, always willing to lend a helping hand and offer a listening ear.

Thelma was proceeded in death by several cherished family members: Parents; Wilfred and Velma Glammeyer, Siblings; Jackie Jones (who she helped raise), Bill Glammeyer, Bud Glammeyer and several in-laws. She is survived by her brother, Jim Glammeyer, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Throughout her life, Thelma wore many hats. She worked as a model, an undercover cop, ran Crazy Corner, and was a parts runner. She also sold Fuller Brush products, made bread and jam, and quilts. Her diverse career path reflected her versatility, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit.

One of Thelma’s greatest joys was her love for birds. She always made sure the birds in her yard were well taken care of and had plenty to eat. And it wasn’t just the birds, Thelma also made sure the squirrels were fed, finding joy in watching these little creatures thrive in her care.

In remembering Thelma, we celebrate a life well-lived. She taught us the importance of family, love, and kindness. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her.

As we say our final goodbyes, let us carry forward the lessons Thelma taught us and honor her memory by living our lives with the same love, compassion, and dedication that she embodied. May she rest in peace, knowing that her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family and friends.
