Yuma High School’s girls softball team will have only three home dates, if the 2020 schedule is played as planned.
Coach Morgan Spencer’s squad is set to open its season August 21-22 at the Platte Valley Tournament.
The Indians’ first home date is September 19 when they are set to host Holyoke for a doubleheader. They are home again September 22 for two against Burlington, and then close out the regular season October 10 with a home double dip against Faith Christian.
Yuma will have a couple of weeks off from game action after the season-opening tournament, traveling to Valley south of Greeley for two games on September 4.
The Indians are at the Brush Tournament on September 11-12, then play two at Wray on September 15.
After the first two home dates, the Indians are back on the road to Chase County, Nebraska, for two games on September 26. They are at Limon for a twin bill on October 3.
Class 3A regional will be on October 17, followed by the state tournament the next weekend.
That is the schedule. However, as of now it is not known if there will be a season, and if so, what kind of a season it will be.
