Yuma baseball teams nearly swept the Jeff Armstrong Tournament, last weekend at the city ball park complex.
The 10U team did win its division. The Outlaws went 4-0, beating Brush in the championship game Sunday afternoon.
Yuma’s 12U lost a heartbreaker in extra innings to Eads in their championship game, after rallying from an early five-run deficit.
One of Yuma’s two 8U teams, Yuma Unger, reached their championship game only to lose to the Sandhills Stars.
The ball park complex remains busy this week as city league tournaments are being held in youth softball and baseball. The tournaments conclude today, June 27, and feature teams from Yuma and throughout the region.
