Yuma High School’s wrestling teams will resume the 2021-22 season on Saturday.
The boys team will be at the Ogallala Tournament in Nebraska. It is a dual tournament, with Yuma in the same pool as Ogallala, Gothenburg, Bridgeport and Limon. Sidney, Mitchell, Wray, Alliance and Mullen are in the other pool. After pool matches, the teams will cross-bracket for one final match.
The Indians are hoping to have more team members healthy and back in action after frequently being short-handed in December.
They finally will have their home opener Tuesday when they host Burlington for a dual starting at 7 p.m.
Yuma’s girls will be heading to Bennett after enjoying a strong December. There will be a boys and girls tournament at the same time. It will be a double-elimination format. Tickets need to be purchased online.
